Mountain Drive Park Play Structure
Summer 2024 to Spring 2025
As part of standard due diligence soil testing for the Mountain Drive Park renewal, soil tests have revealed that some of the park’s soils exceed the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks soil standards for parkland.
Out of an abundance of caution, the area of the park where impacted soils are currently known has been fenced off to prevent access by members of the public. As a result, there will be no access to the play structure until the redevelopment is completed, which is expected to begin Summer 2024 and be finished in Spring 2025.
Residents are encouraged to visit other nearby parks with playgrounds such as Peace Memorial Park, Eastmount Park, and Highview Park.

No public access to the playground will be permitted during this time. Other parts of the park are open and accessible. During this work, some areas of the Park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday
