Annual Rain Barrel Sale - April 30, 2016
HAMILTON, ON – April 11, 2016 - With spring upon us, it’s time to think about how to get your garden the water it needs to flourish. Why not chose an easy option by using a rain barrel to capture rain water this spring?
Green your garden & help the environment
The Public Works Department is holding its annual, one-day rain barrel sale later this month to promote wise water use. By installing a rain barrel, residents are creating their own free source of water that they can use for their gardens or even washing their cars.
The City has partnered with local vendor Rainbarrel.ca for the 8th annual truckload rain barrel sale. Residents can choose between:
- buying a new barrel for $45
- buying a re-purposed barrel for $42
Need an option to get the barrel home? If pre-ordered online, residents can have their rain barrel delivered to their home for $9.75. All deliveries are managed by the vendor and must be within the City of Hamilton.
