Council Meetings
City Council meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.

City Council is composed of the Mayor and 15 members of Council representing Wards 1 to 15 in the City of Hamilton. Council is the final approving body for all recommendations submitted by the Standing Committees. The Committees reporting to Council are: Audit, Finance & Administration, Board of Health, Emergency & Community Services, General Issues Committee, Planning Committee and Public Works. Council follows Rules of Procedure which govern the proceedings of Council and Committees of Council. Click here for a copy of the City of Hamilton Procedural By-law outlining this process. Interested citizens wishing the opportunity to make a presentation to members of Council on an item of interest shall complete and submit a Request to Speak to a Committee of Council
