On June 16, 2004 City Council adopted recommendations in Item 7(b) of the June 9, 2004 Corporate Administration Committee respecting the establishment of the Voluntary Lobbyist Registry as a public document.
Lobbyists can voluntarily register by completing the City's Delegation Request Form (click here), and this information will be placed on a Registry that is available for public viewing in the Office of the City Clerk or by clicking here.
The City's Accountability and Transparency Sub-Committee is currently reviewing recent legislation under the Municipal Act, that now enables municipalities to implement mandatory lobbyists registries as of January 1, 2008. More information on this matter will be available by years end on recommendations adopted by City Council.
