The Honourable Lincoln Alexander named as "Honourary Chief" of Hamilton Emergency Services 

Hamilton Emergency Services are pleased to announce that The Honourable Lincoln Alexander has been named as a "Honourary Chief" of the Department. "Mr. Alexander has long been an advocate and friend of Hamilton Emergency Services and is a strong supporter of all firefighters and paramedics in the City of Hamilton. It is a priviledge to have Mr. Alexander represent our Department" says Jim Kay, General Manager/Chief of Hamilton Emergency Services.

Station 14 Opening

Station 14, located at 595 Chapel Hill Road was officially opened on June 23, 2007 with a small ceremony. With this station opening and the placement of a tanker in this station, residents of Ward 11 will see improved emergency response times and and improved insurance rates as we work to achieve the Fire Underwriter's Survey Rating for Superior Tanker Shuttle Service in this area of the City.

Emergency Preparedness Day - 2007

On Saturday May 12, 2007, over 2000 people attended at another successful Emergency Preparedness Day at Bayfront Park. Hamilton Emergency Services was able to provide valuable educational information to citizens with the Fire Safety Trailer and the EMS CPR Awareness tent.







Hamilton Emergency Services - Fire and EMS at Police Week 2007

On May 17, 2007, Hamilton Emergency Services took part in Police Week Activities at Central Police Station on King William Street. Displays were set up to educate the public on both fire and medical related issues.






Hamilton Fire Station 20

On December 6, 2006, purchase of the land at the north-west corner of Garner Road and Kitty Murray Lane in Ancaster was finalized for the future home of Fire Station 20. Groundbreaking is scheduled for late this year with an expected opening of the new station in 2008.
