Sign and Poster Kiosk Information

Poster Kiosk and Collars are installed in certain areas of the City of Hamilton that make it easier for you to display your posters.
We appreciate you working together with the City of Hamilton to ensure posters are not a safety hazard (i.e. interfere with traffic safety) and assist in maintaining a clean and positive image for the City.
Do I need a permit to display a poster? No. A permit is not required however there are some guidelines that need to be followed. (see below)
What can my posters be made of? Posters need to be made of biodegradable material only.
How big can my posters be? Poster can be no bigger than 28cm wide by 44 cm high (11"x17")
How do I attach my poster to a pole, poster sleeves or kiosk? Posters must be attached using adhesive tape.
How long can my poster stay up? Posters can be displayed no earlier than 21 days before the event and must be removed within 3 days after the event.
How many posters can I display? Only one poster with the same information can be placed on a pole, poster sleeve and/or kiosk. A minimum of 200m is required between postings.
Where are poster collars and kiosks located? As a pilot project poster collars and kiosks are located in the Downtown core, International Village and Westdale. Please see the maps for exact locations.
Please note that poster collars and kiosks are cleaned sometime during the first week of each month.
