Policy Planning and Zoning By-Law Reform

Policy Planning and Zoning By-Law Reform provides distinct services:

Policy Planning is charged with the development of a new Official Plan for the amalgamated City of Hamilton


Zoning By-law Reform team was created to put together a new Zoning By-Law for the City of Hamilton.

GIS Planning & Analysis is the main internal resource for the creation, collection, maintenance, distribution and analysis of GIS land use data for the Planning and Economic Development Department.


Planning for Nodes and Corridors will establish future land use patterns (uses, heights, densities, urban design elements) for areas throughout the B-Line Corridor from McMaster University to Eastgate Square.
