Urban Structure Plan and Policies Public Information Centre - June 2008 |
What is an Urban Structure?
One of the first major steps is to build a framework or structure on which to base the City’s OP land use designations and policies.
What will the policies include?
The details (policies) include:
- where the nodes, corridors, activity centres, employment areas and major open space are located;
- the functions and types of land uses that would be found in a nodes, corridors and activity centres;
- the number of people and jobs the City is planning for the nodes; and,
- the design criteria that are important to improving the physical environment, in which we live work, play and learn.
The Public Information Centres will be a combination of displays that you can leisurely view and talk with available staff.
