To discuss and have a review of your parking ticket if you believe it was issued in error, you can visit our First Attendance Facility at 80 Main Street West. You or your authorized agent must bring the parking infraction notice or the Notice of Impending Conviction with you. Enforcement Adjudicators are available for parking ticket reviews Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Following your review, you can choose to set a trial to challenge the officer’s evidence. You or your agent must sign a Notice of Intention to Appear in Court. The Enforcement Adjudicator will provide this form to you for your completion and signature. The Enforcement Adjudicator will process your trial request and you will be notified in mail of the date and time of your Trial Hearing.
If you do not pay the early payment or set fine or request a trial, a conviction will be entered against you without further notice. On conviction, you will be required to pay the set fine plus a conviction fee of $16.00.
If you choose not to pay your parking ticket after conviction, a Notice of Fine and Due Date is automatically created and mailed to the registered owner of the vehicle advising of the increased fine amount and the due date for payment. If you choose not to pay your convicted parking ticket before the due date given on the Notice of Fine and Due Date, your ticket will be forwarded to the Ministry of Transportation for plate denial. The Ministry adds an additional amount of $20.00 to the fine amount. This full balance must be paid before a sticker will be issued and/or renewed for the motorist.
