THE PROJECT
The City of Hamilton through its Landscape Architectural Services Section, are undertaking the redevelopment of William McCulloch Park (formerly known as Brown's Park) located at 200 Bonaventure Drive in the Gilbert Neighbourhood in Ward 8. For a location map please click here.
This community park is 6.26 hectares (15.5 acres) in size and features 3 baseball fields, 2 soccer pitches, a play area with playground equipment, a sun shelter and water splash pad. The proposed work includes conversion of the soccer pitches to 4 rookie level baseball fields, a new spalsh pad facility and playground equipment, and on-site parking lot. PROJECT STATUS
The concept plan has been prepared and presented to the public. The project has moved to the design development stage and preparation of construction drawings and specifications. The City will be tendering the contract in early 2010 with construction to follow in 2010. |

PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE
A Public Information Centre was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at St. Andrew's United Church, 479 Upper Paradise Road, Hamilton. The ward councillor, City staff and the consultant were present to explain the proposed work and answer questions.
