City of Hamilton – Public Works
Community Gardens
Community Gardens are an exciting approach to gardening without pesticides. If you are interested in growing your own vegetables and herbs, want to discover an excellent source of exercise and meet new friends that share the same passion for gardening, contact the Hamilton Community Garden Network.
The City of Hamilton passed a new Community Garden Policy in April 2010. This policy sets out guidelines for the creation of new community gardens on City-owned lands and will also result in changes to the operation of the City’s three current community gardens at Dundas, Churchill Park and Victoria Park. This policy came into effect on January 1st, 2011.
