A.M. Cunningham Playground

100 Wexford Ave. S.
The playground at A. M. Cunningham School was redeveloped in 1997 with an accessible creative play structure. It is also used by children from St. John the Baptist School.

Adelhaide Hoodless School

71 Maplewood Avenue.
This parkette includes a playstructure and room for children to play.

Ainslie Wood

200 Emerson Street by Whitney Avenue.
Ainslie Wood Park is mostly a natural growth area, with trees and shrub beds.
 
Albion Estates

52 Amberwood Street by Paramount Drive.
Albion Estates Park has a play structure and 2 softball fields.
 
Albion Falls

768 Mountain Brow Blvd, by Arbour Road.
A creek, a natural area, and the Escarpment Rail Trail all run through Albion Falls Park.   Parking is available.
 
Alexander Park

259 Whitney Avenue by Rifle Range Road.
Alexander Park, a popular park located beside Prince Philip School, has a hardball field, 2 softball fields, and a wading pool with a spray fountain.  The accessible washrooms are open during games by the Alexander Minor Baseball Association.
 
Allison Neighbourhood Park

201 Rymal Road East by Upper Wellington Street, off Piano Drive.
This neighbourhood park has a play structure and spray pad..
 
Amberly Park

Nakoma Road off Senior Drive, Ancaster.
This quiet park has a softball diamond and picnic tables.
 
Ancaster Community Centre

385 Jerseyville Road West by Martin Road, Ancaster.
This park boasts many sports field, including a lit hardball field, a lit softball field, and a lit regulation-sized soccer ball field.  There are washrooms in the centre of the park, parking by the Community Centre, and natural area at the northern edge.

Ancaster Heights

Massey Drive by Elizabeth Place, Ancaster.
Ancaster Heights Park is a neighbourhood park with a play structure.

Ancaster Senior Achievement Centre

622 Alberton Road by Wilson Street, Ancaster.
The park around the Senior Centre is used for mainly by those out for a stroll.  Parking is available outside the Centre and washrooms inside.
 
Andrew Warburton Memorial Park

199 Tragina Avenue North by Britannia Avenue.
Andrew Warburton Memorial Park was named after a neighbourhood child who died in 1986.  This park has a playground, spray pad, and a shelter.

Arcade Park

45 Cloverhill Road by Brantdale Avenue, east of West 5th.  Arcade Park has some play equipment for children and benches for parents.
 
Armes Lookout

633 Mountain Brow Blvd by Ellsworth Drive.
Armes Lookout is located on the edge of the Escarpment, and looks out over King's Forest Golf Course.  There is a small parking area.

Arrowhon Natural Area

Boulding Avenue by Laurendale Avenue, Waterdown.
This pretty park is a natural area with a retention pond.

Austin Park

36 Dartford Place between Dartford and Austin Drive.
Austin Park is a small playground geared to preschool children. 
 
B

Balfour Park

Balfour Park was developed on a narrow strip of land on Scenic Dr. (at Denlow Ave.) at the edge of the escarpment. It consists of a walkway/sidewalk and a grass area.

Battlefield Park

77 King Street West at Centennial Parkway South, Stoney Creek, the site of the Battle of Stoney Creek in 1813.
Battlefield Park is a designated historical site.  Parts of the structure of the Museum date back to the 18th century.  A Monument was added to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Stoney Creek, and, annually, battles are re-enacted on the grounds. Bayfront Park

709 Simcoe Street West by Bay Street.
Bayfront Park boasts a number of features perfectly suited to a waterfront setting, including an extensive asphalt pathway; a lower shoreline walk; naturalized areas of shrubs, trees, and wildflowers; a public boat launch; numerous benches and picnic tables; and a natural grass amphitheatre. The park's upper plateau, an expansive lawn area, makes it an ideal location for special events. It is linked to Pier 4 Park by Macassa Bay Walkway. For more information, click here.

Bayview Park

Thomas Court and Herbert Court, Stoney Creek. Bayview Park has a small soccer field, a softball field, and parking.

Beasley Park

96 Mary Street by Wilson Street.
Beasley Park is an inner-city park with an accessible creative play structure, a skateboard area, a small community centre, and an ornamental fountain.

Bayview Playground

52 Burlington Street West
Bayview Playground is located on top of a small plateau overlooking Hamilton Harbour. It has traditional playground equipment. 

Beach Blvd. Park #1

540 Beach Blvd.
Beach Blvd. Park #1 is maintained by Parks East but currently has no features.

Beach Blvd. Park #2

Park is located at the northern end of Beach Blvd., across from Manor Avenue.
Beach Blvd. Park #2 is a small park developed on former Hamilton Conservation Authority Land.

Belmont Park

Hollybush Drive by Kildonan Crescent, Waterdown.
Belmont Park has a baseball field, play equipment, a natural area, and parking by the playlot.

Belview Park

205 Belmont Avenue by Campbell Avenue.
Belview Park has a play structure, swings, a spray pad, several benches, and picnic tables.

Bennetto Park/Rec. Centre

444 Hughson St. N.
Bennetto Park has a recreation centre, tennis courts, and a playground. It is adjacent to Bennetto Senior Public School. The property is shaded and in is becoming run down. Topography is flat. A new play structure was installed in 1996.

Berrisfield Park

125 Birchcliffe Crescent and Brewster Street, one block north of Limeridge Road East.
Berrisfield Park is a neighbourhood park geared to young children. It has an accessible play structure, swings, sun shelter and open space.

Beulah Park

59 Beulah Ave., south of Aberdeen Avenue.  Beulah Park is a small park near the escarpment in southwest Hamilton and has a playground, picnic tables, benches, and open space.

Beverly Community Park

680 Hwy 8, Rockton, 1 1/2 miles west of Peter's Corners and by the Rockton Berry Farm. Beverly Community Park is home to the Beverly Community Centre, football fields, regulation-sized soccer fields, softball fields, and tennis courts.  Also available is play equipment, a covered shelter, and picnic tables.

Bill Foley Parkette

Mountain Brow Blvd. between Concession St. and Upper Ottawa. Bill Foley Parkette is a lookout area that offers a wonderful view of the central east area of the city. Seating and parking are provided.  Hamilton Public Library Site (off site)

Billy Sherring Park

1530 Upper Sherman Avenue, south of Stone Church Road East.  The Neighbour to Neighbour Garden Centre is located here, as well as a playground.

Binbrook Park and Fairgrounds

2600 Highway 56.

Birch Avenue Park

625 Wilson St.
Birch Avenue Park is a passive park developed underneath the hydro corridor that runs down Birch Avenue.

Birge Park

167 Birge Street east of Wentworth Street North.
Birge Park has a playground, a multi-purpose court, bocce courts, and a shelter with benches.

Bishop's Park

This small passive park is located at the corner of East Avenue South and Hunter Street and features a seating area, shrub beds and a walkway. 

Block 114 Park

Located off Pinecreek Road, Waterdown.
Block 114 Park is a small neighbourhood park with some play equipment. Borer's Creek runs through it as well.

Block 87 Park

Located off Longyear Drive, Waterdown.
Block 87 Park is a small neighbourhood park with some play equipment. Borer's Creek runs through it as well.

Bobby Kerr Park

100 Reno Avenue at Palmer Road.
Bobby Kerr Park has facilities for a variety of sports, as well as playground equipment.  The park was named for Robert Kerr, a world class sprinter. Hamilton Public Library Site (off site)

Borer's Creek

Located in Waterdown off Longyear Drive, Duncan Avenue, and Brian Blvd.
This section of Borer's Creek runs between Block 114 and Block 87 Parks.

Brampton St./Mead Ave. Park

110 Mead Ave, Hamilton.
This property is vacant land that the City has acquired for a park. It is part woodlot and part grass.

Brian Timmis Parkette

75 Balsam Ave. N
This typical passive parkette, is situated on the corner of Balsam and Cannon, adjacent to Brian Timmis Stadium's parking lot, and is part of the Ivor Wynne Stadium Complex.

Brockhouse Park

Corner of Wilson Street and Fiddler's Green Road, Ancaster. This small park has benches and shrub beds.

Broughton East Park

990 Rymal Rd. E.
Currently, only the northeast corner of Broughton East Park has been developed. It has 2 playgrounds (one with swings and 2 play structures), a multi-purpose court, an asphalt walkway, a sunshelter, concrete block building, and benches.

Broughton West Park

990 Rymal Rd East
Broughton West Park currently has a playstructure, swings and pathway.

Bruce Park

145 Brucedale Avenue East at Queensdale Avenue East.
Bruce Park is a neighbourhood park with a variety of features, including multi-purpose and bocce courts, ball diamonds, a creative play structure, and swings. 

Bruleville Nature Park

265 Limeridge Road East by Skylark Drive.
Bruleville Nature Park is a large woodlot with several trails running through it. It is surrounded by a residential development.

Bruleville Neighbourhood Park

100 Boblink Road at Cardinal Drive.
Bruleville Neighbourhood Park was developed primarily for children. The playground provides a wide variety of activities and is accessible. The property is adjacent to Cardinal Heights Public School.

Bryna Park

West of Upper Wellington near the end of Bryna Avenue, one block north of Limeridge Road East.
Bryna Park is a small park with traditional play equipment and a multi-purpose court. It is fenced in and is a relatively good park for small children.

Buchanan Park

111 Columbia Drive by Stacey and Laurier Avenues.
Buchanan Park is a sports park with several diamonds and a playground. Hamilton Public Library Site (off site)

Bullocks Corners

40 Park Avenue, Greensville.
Bullocks Corners Park has two softball fields, three lit tennis courts operated by the Hilltop Tennis Club.  There are washrooms in the concession building, and parking available.  There are also swings and playground equipment on the premises.

Bumble Bee Park

Pleasant Avenue, near Broad Oak Court, Dundas.
This small park has shrub beds and a walkway leading to the Hamilton-Brantford Rail Trail.

Burkholder Park

478 East 25th Street by Abbot Drive.
Burkholder Park was developed on a plateau, sloping from west to east across the site, adjacent to Burkholder Drive Public School. The playground is located on the north side of the park; the south side of the park is open space.

C

Captain Cornelius

180 Limeridge Road West.
Captain Cornelius Park is part sports park and part natural park. It is adjacent to Westview Public School and St. Jerome Separate School and is also near the Westmount Recreation Centre. There are soccer fields in the west, a natural area in the centre, and a playground with traditional equipment in the southeast.

Carlisle Community Centre

1496 Centre Road, Carlisle.
Features include tennis courts, softball fields, and play equipment.  Parking and washroom facilities are available.

Carlisle Memorial Park

1493 Centre Road, Carlisle.
Carlisle Memorial Park is beside Carlisle Community Centre Park, and has a softball field and some play equipment.

Carluke Hall

435 Carluke Road West, Ancaster.
This quiet park is suitable for strolling and enjoying the scenery.  Parking and washroom facilities are available in the community centre.

Carpenter Neighbourhood Park

Upper Paradise Road by Rymal Road West.  Carpenter Park features a playground and accessible swings.

Carter Park

32 Stinson Street by West Avenue South.
Carter Park offers a variety of facilities for children and teens, including a playground, spray pad, basketball /multi-purpose court, and t-ball field, as well as areas for passive recreation. It is adjacent to Central Memorial Recreation Centre.

Cascades Park

66 Livingstone Drive.
This small family friendly park contains a play structure. 

Cathedral Park

642 Main Street West.
Cathedral Park is located across the street from Christ the King Cathedral between King W. and Main W. It has a field house, cricket pitch, and parking lot, as well as a combined sewage overflow tank. It is a permanent home field for cricket.  Washrooms and parking available.

Cenotaph

324 Highway 8, near Ellington Avenue, Stoney Creek.
Cenotaph Park is home to a war memorial statue.

Centennial Park

East Street North by Cootes Drive, Dundas.
This neighbourhood park has shrub beds and many memorial plaques.

Centennial Heights Park

Karendale Crescent by West Street, Freelton.
Centennial Heights Park is an active park with several soccer fields, a softball field, play equipment, picnic tables, a park shelter, parking, and washrooms.

Central Park

168 Bay Street North.
Central Park offers a variety of activities for all ages. It has a play structure, ball diamond, tennis courts, multi-purpose court, shelter, asphalt pathways, and benches.

Central Park

Creighton Road by Blackadar Nursing Home, Dundas.
Central Park is a passive, neighbourhood park with a stream running through it.

Century Street Park

80 Century St., located between Century and Wilson Sts., Steven and Ashley Streets, and south of Cannon St. E. It is a small, passive area consisting of grass and shrub beds.

Chappel East Park #1

837 Upper Wentworth.
Chappel East Park #1 is currently undeveloped.

Chappel East Park #2

Rymal Rd. E.
This park will be located between Miles Rd. and Upper Wentworth, South of Rymal Rd. E.

Chedoke Radial Trail

Trail begins at Hillcrest Ave. (at Beulah) and runs southwest across the Chedoke Golf Course, traversing the Mountain and ending at Scenic Park. The Chedoke Radial Trail is a bicycle & pedestrian pathway approximately 2.7 kilometres long.

Chedoke Tot Lot

80 Glenside Avenue by Chedoke Avenue.
Chedoke Tot Lot is a small playground with traditional equipment and a woodlot.

Chegwin Park

Chegwin Road and Governor's Road, Dundas.
Chegwin Park has a natural area and a walking pathway that leads over a stream.

Cherry Heights

90 Stoney Brook Drive, Stoney Creek.
Cherry Heights Park has 2 soccer fields, 2 softball fields, play equipment, and a walkway.

Churchill Park

199 Glen Road by Parkside Drive.
Churchill Park is a large park developed on land belonging to the Royal Botanical Gardens. It offers several activities, including lawn bowling, soccer and softball fields, and a playground with an accessible play structure.

Churchill Gardens and Aviary

145 Cline Avenue North by Marion Street North.
This property, once the home of the Royal Botanical Gardens' Teaching Garden, includes community garden plots and houses the aviary formerly kept at Dundurn Park. It is located on Royal Botanical Gardens land near Cootes Paradise and is adjacent to Churchill Park. (Hours of operation: 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week.)

Cinema Park

Located on Golf Links Road, beside Silvercity Theatres and across from Kitty Murray Road.

Claremont Access Parkettes

One parkette is located at the beginning of the Claremont Access at Wellington S.; and the other parkette is located along the Claremont Access at Victoria S. and Hunter E.

Cliffview Park

26 Upper Paradise Road by Scenic Drive.
Cliffview Park is located at the edge of the escarpment on the west side of the Mountain. There is a parking area on the south edge of the park and stairs down the escarpment leading to the Chedoke Golf Course (the Chedoke Radial Trail can also be accessed from these stairs). The lookout area on the northwest edge provides a view of the Chedoke Golf Course, the western edge of the city, and the town of Dundas.

Cline Park

located at Highbury Drive and Pinewoods Drive, Stoney Creek.
Cline Park is a neighbourhood park with a soccer field, softball field, play equipment, and parking.

Cochrane Park

The park is located at the corner of Cochrane Road and Lawrence Road.
Cochrane Park is a very small piece of land with a few small shrubs, trees, and a bench.

Colquhoun Park

20 Leslie Avenue by Scenic Drive and West 23rd Street.
Colquhoun Park is a large sports park with diamonds and open space.

Community Park

37 King Street West, Stoney Creek (east of Battlefield Park.)
Home to the Stoney Creek Scout Hall and the Stoney Creek Arena, Community Park has a softball field, play equipment, and a woodlot.  Parking and washrooms are available.

Concession/Upper Sherman

401 Upper Sherman Ave.
These properties on Upper Sherman consist of a long boulevard between Concession and Crockett Streets, a parkette-sized parcel at the corner of Upper Sherman and Crockett, and a triangular traffic island.

Confederation Park - Van Wagner's Beach

Copetown Lions Park

1950 Governor's Road, 1/2 km each of Hwy 52, Dundas.
Copetown Lions Park has a Community Centre, softball fields, picnic tables and a playlot.  Parking and washrooms available.

Corktown Park

175 Ferguson Avenue South.
Features include a creative play area, pathways, benches, trees, a small building containing a sun shelter and washrooms, a multi-purpose court flanked by three junior soccer fields, and a baseball field on the east side of the third soccer field. The park also forms a connection to the trail network, and completes the Ferguson Avenue link between the Escarpment and the Harbour.

Corman Park

23 Teak Street by Oakridge Drive, Stoney Creek.
Corman Park has 2 public bocce fields, a soccer field, and play equipment.

Coronation Park

13 Macklin Street North.
Coronation Park is a bowl-shaped park with a woodlot on its slopes. It has a playground, swimming and wading pools, and picnic areas, as well as an arena.

Country Club Drive

190 Country Club Drive.
Country Club Drive Park is a small, orchard-like park located under the escarpment at the top of Country Club Drive.

Courtcliffe Park

Carlisle Road by Hwy 6, Waterdown.
Courtcliffe Park is a naturalized area with streams, bridges, walkways and trails.  There are 4 middle-sized soccer fields and 1 mini soccer field in the park, as well as parking.

Crerar Neighbourhood Park

1206 Upper Wentworth Street at Sirente Drive.
The park has a playlot.

Crown Point East Park

This park land is located between Province N. and Graham N. at Roxborough Ave., east of Ottawa Street N.

Cumberland Tot Lot

280 Cumberland Ave, east of Sherman S.
It is located behind houses on Cumberland Ave, under the escarpment and west of Gage Park.

D

Dalewood Park

108 Gary Ave.
This park is a small, passive, somewhat triangular piece of land located at the juncture of Gary and Dalewood Avenues.

Dean Vista Parkette

940 Arvin Avenue, Stoney Creek.
A woodlot is located at the front of the park and a retention pond is situated at the rear of the property.

Delottinville Park

Davidson Blvd, Dundas.
This park is not yet developed. There is a proposed soccer field to be developed in this park.

Delta Park

1100 Main Street East.
Delta Park is a passive park located near Gage Park at the "delta" formed by Main St. E., King St. E., and Rosslyn Ave.

Dewitt Park

151 Glenashton Drive, Stoney Creek.
Dewitt Park has some play equipment, benches, and a horseshoe pitch.

Dewitt Parkette

Located off Lakeview Drive, Stoney Creek.

Dieppe Veteran's Memorial Park

1033 Beach Blvd.
This commemorative memorial park stands in tribute to the Canadian soldiers who faught in this battle.

Dofasco Property

276 Beach Rd.
This property was donated to the City for park purposes by Dofasco Inc., which used the site as green space.

Double Trunk Maple Park

Located on Hall Road, just east of Woodburn.
This is currently an undeveloped park.

Dover Park

75 Nash Road South.
Dover Park is adjacent to St. David's Separate School and Sir Issac Brock Public School. It has a soccer field, which is geared to older leagues, and a few trees.

Dr. William Bethune

1389 Upper James Street at Dicenzo Drive and Stoney Church Road East.
Located behind the Barton Community Centre, Dr. William Bethune Park has a creative play area, the Walker Outdoor Pool, and several baseball diamonds.

Dundas Driving Park

71 Cross Street, Dundas.
Dundas Driving Park is a popular sports park with several softball fields, a bandshell, swings, play equipment, a wading pool, and sheltered picnic areas.  Washrooms and parking is available.

Dundurn Park

600 York Blvd.
Dundurn Park is a historical park and the former home of Sir Allan MacNab. The property consists of Dundurn Castle, the Hamilton Military Museum, the Coach House Restaurant, and the Cockpit Theatre. The park overlooks Hamilton Harbour and is adjacent to Harvey Park and Dundurn Parkette.

Dundurn Parkette

490 York Blvd.
This parkette is adjacent to Dundurn Park on York Blvd. It is basically flat, except for a raised shrub bed in the centre, and has a few benches.

Durand Park

250 Park Street South at Charlton Avenue West.
Durand Park has open space in the south, a shaded playground in the centre, and a shrub bed in the north.

E

Eastdale Park

81 Lincoln Road, Stoney Creek.
Eastdale Park has a soccer field, 2 softball fields, play equipment, and a public Bocce court.  A private Lawn Bowling facility also runs at the park.

Eastmount Park

115 East 26th Street.
Eastmount Park has ball diamonds, a playground, and open space. The Eastmount Recreation Centre is situated on the west side of the grounds, and the park is adjacent to Eastmount Park Public School.

Eastwood Park

111 Burlington Street East.
Eastwood Park is a large park in the north end of the city. It provides the community with a variety of facilities, including softball and soccer fields, a basketball court, multi-purpose court, a creative play structure, water spray pad, asphalt pathways, and a sun shelter / washroom / changeroom building. A combined sewer overflow tank is located beneath the park, and is designed to improve the water quality of Hamilton Harbour. Eastwood Arena is located in the southwest corner of the park.

Edgelake Park

12 Church Street, Stoney Creek.
Edgelake Park is a quiet neighbourhood park with some play equipment, and a creek and woodlot.

Edwards Park

55 Mercer Street by Larraine Avenue, Dundas.
Edwards Park has 2 softball fields and some play equipment.  Parking and washrooms are available.

Eighty-Seven Acres Park

1165 Green Mountain Road by Tenth Road East, Stoney Creek.
Eighty-Seven Acres Park is a large, natural area with a pond.

Eleanor Park

Presidio Drive, west of Upper Gage Avenue.
Eleanor Park has been developed as a neighbourhood park with a creative play structure, swings, a ball diamond, shelter, and a multi-purpose court.

Elmar Park

140 Brigade Drive, south of Stone Church Road East.
Elmar Park is a neighbourhood park with a multi-purpose court, play area (with an accessible play structure), spray pad, and shelter. The park also has an existing woodlot and is adjacent to Helen Detwiler School.

Faircourt Park

40 Faircourt Drive, Stoney Creek.
Faircourt Park is a natural area with a walkway.

Falkirk West Park

1030 Upper Paradise Rd.
Falkirk West Park is currently undeveloped.

Father Sean O'Sullivan Park

1141 Greenhill Avenue.
Father Sean O'Sullivan Memorial Park was developed in 1992 with an accessible play structure, bocce courts, a multi-purpose court, spray pad, and shelter. The park is adjacent to Board of Education property and a ravine.

Fay Avenue Park

95 Broker Street at Organ Crescent, east of Upper Ottawa Street.
Fay Avenue Park is a relatively large neighbourhood park with some playground equipment and passive areas.

Felker Park

29 John Murray Street, Stoney Creek.
Felker Park has play equipment, a soccer field, and a walkway with benches.

Fernwood Park

784 Ninth Avenue at Winchester Blvd.
Fernwood Park has a soccer field, some benches, and trees. It is adjacent to Hampton Heights Public School and Fernwood Public School.

Ferris Park

25 Lynwood Drive, Stoney Creek.
Ferris Park has a public Bocce court, a soccer field, play equipment, and a pathway which goes through a natural area in the centre of the park.  Parking is available.

Fieldcote Memorial Park

64 Sulphur Springs Road.
This park is located in the Town of Ancaster and is a natural playing field.

Flamborough Centre Park

969 Centre Road, Flamborough (next to Flamborough Centre School).
Flamborough Centre Park has a soccer field, a playlot, and a small parking lot.

Fonthill Park

289 Wendover Drive, at Fonthill Road.
Fonthill Park is a neighbourhood park with a play structure, swings, benches, picnic table, and trees.

Freelton Community Park

Freelton Road, Freelton (at Mill Street).
This park has public tennis courts, a softball field, and play equipment.  Parking available
