Anti-Litter Campaigns

Together We Can Keep Hamilton Clean

Hamilton would like to clean up its streets and communities by eliminating litter from its streets and open areas. The City has established an Anti-Litter Campaign that would like to see the residents of Hamilton take back their communities and adopt specific areas of the city to clean-up.  However, it is necessary to get to the source of the problem - the people who litter in the first place. That means changing attitudes and creating a "litter consciousness". The reason most community litter control efforts fail is because people want instant results and put their effort into cleaning up, but this does not change the behaviour that leads to litter. To help fight the war against litter, Hamilton wants to educate not only our children but every resident who has pride in keeping Hamilton clean.

Together, we can make our Community Clean!
