Friends of the Park Program (Donations)
The "Friends of the Parks" is a program designed to facilitate community
involvement in enhancing our public parks, trails and green spaces. Donations of
cash or gifts in kind to the Friends of the Parks program allow for substantial
improvements to our parks, and inspire community pride and a sense of place.
One of our most successful and much sought after donation program is the
Commemorative Park Benches which provide a long-lasting and unique tribute to
the special people that touch our lives. Each bench includes a custom bronze
plaque inscribed with our personal message of up to 60 characters. Plaques are
2" x 8" and are recessed flush with the face of the wood slates. Popular bench
locations include the Hamilton Waterfront Trail, Gage Park and Sam Lawrence Park.
