Are you looking to discover great cycling routes in Hamilton for the first time – or discover areas of Hamilton that you are not familiar with?

Here are 10 featured cycling routes organized as an outside loop – separated into four links (#1, #2, #3, & #4 listed below) – plus a network of internal connecting links. You are encouraged to connect the links in a fashion that suits your interests and skill level. Try different loops and discover different places in different seasons!

Definition of Terms
Route Design describes the terrain and surface material of trails and on-street routing.
            Easy Cycling - relatively flat routes & when on-street only modest traffic volumes
            Moderate Cycling - only modest hills & when on-street only modest traffic volumes
            Difficult Cycling - steeper inclines & when on-street some heavier traffic volumes

A printed version of the 10 route information above, called "Cycling Hamilton - Waterfalls & Vistas", is available at Hamilton bike shops and at the seven Tourism Hamilton Information Centres across the city.  This pamphlet was developed by the Hamilton Cycling Committee and printed by funding they receive from City Council.

The Hamilton Conservation Authority (HCA) has produced a companion pamphlet entitled "Hiking Hamilton - Waterfalls" and the 10 hikes in that pamphlet are posted on the HCA website.
