Getting Started
It's easy to get started using your mini bin and green cart
Line your mini bin with a sheet of newspaper or paper bag to help keep it clean. Put it where you normally keep your garbage pail, like under the sink. You are now ready to start adding organics every day. View here for a list of acceptable items.
Your green cart can be stored where you normally put your garbage can: in your garage, along the side of your house or in your backyard. Line it with a sheet of newpaper or greasy pizza box and you're ready to start emptying your mini bin into it every day.
Just say 'no' to plastic bags in your green cart. Use a paper leaf and yard waste bag as a liner to reduce odour and cling-ons.
