Did you know Hamilton has:

• 2 Wastewater Treatment Plants 
• 8 Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) tanks
• 1,012 kilometers of sanitary sewers
• 590 kilometers of combined sewers
• 911 kilometers of storm sewers
• Over 38,567 wet tonnes of solids were extracted from the wastewater in 2010
• 293 million litres of wastewater flows through Woodward plant per day
• Over 2500 kms of sewer lines in Hamilton (sanitary, combined & storm)
• 71 Wastewater Pumping Stations

• 1 Water Treatment Plant
• 21 pumping stations
• 14,000 hydrants
• The Woodward plant treats 243+ million litres of water a day to drink
• 1900 kms of water lines in Hamilton (equivalent in distance to the drive to Florida)

• Environmental Laboratory & Operations Control Centre
• 150,000 analytical tests regarding water quality, sewer use and landfill
   leachate quality
• Lab tests water and wastewater seven days a week
