Route 3 CANNON Detour
ATTENTION HSR CUSTOMERS - The intersection of Cannon Street and Gage Avenue will re-open on the morning of Friday, April 10, 2009. Therefore, for start of service on Friday, April 10, 2009 route 3 - CANNON will be operating the detours via Gage Avenue as described below**.
Effective Sunday, March 29, 2009 to Saturday, June 27, 2009 inclusive, Cannon Street between Gage Avenue and Ottawa Street will be closed due to road construction. In addition, during the first two weeks of the closure there will be a full intersection closure of Cannon Street at Gage Avenue.
During the first two week closure, there will be no route 3 CANNON service on Cannon Street between Sherman Avenue and Ottawa Street. Route 3 will detour eastbound via Sherman, Barton and Ottawa, and westbound via Ottawa, Main/King and Sherman.
**After the first two week period, there will be no route 3 CANNON service on Cannon Street between Gage Avenue and Ottawa Street. Route 3 will detour eastbound via Gage, Barton and Ottawa, and westbound via Ottawa, Main/King and Gage.
Special Note: On Sunday, March 29, 2009 ONLY from approximately 9:30am to 11:00am, Route 3 CANNON will be operating special detours due to the Around the Bay Road Race. During all other times on Sunday, route 3 will be operating as per the First Two Week Closure detours described above.
A customer take-one has been produced outlining details of the construction detour. In addition, special detour schedules and timetable have been developed.
