Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek Experience the drama, pageantry, and excitement of the Battle of Stoney Creek of June 6, 1813, one of the most important events in Canada's history. Bring the whole family for games, food, demonstrations, musical entertainment, fireworks, and the Re-enactment itself. This year marks the 31st anniversary of the Re-enactment of the Battle of Stoney Creek and will take place on June 2 and 3, 2012. Buy your tickets online and avoid the line-ups.
War of 1812 Bicentennial Events at the Hamilton Civic Museums The 2012-2014 Bicentennial of the War of 1812 will mark the 200th anniversary of significant military activity in Hamilton. We invite you to join us and experience the many programs and activities that will present historical perspectives and create contemporary meaning to activities of this historical time.
High School Art Competition Show and Sale - Sunday, May 27, 2012 Whitehern Historic House & Garden Student artists can enter for FREE and all forms of media will be accepted. Artists price their own work and keep all proceeds from the sale. Entries will be accepted at the museum on Friday, May 25 and Saturday, May 26. The Show and Sale takes place on Sunday, May 27 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m and winners will be announced at 3:00 p.m. Applications must be received by Friday, May 18.
