Hamilton Civic Museums - Birthday Party Packages
Birthday Parties are very popular and space is limited. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Decorating varies from site to site. Please inquire at the time of booking. A Soldier's MessBattlefield House Museum & Park On June 6, 1813, Battlefield House Museum, then the home of the Gage family, and its surroundings was the site of the Battle of Stoney Creek, a pivotal battle during the War of 1812. Children begin their party by dressing up in reproduction soldier’s tunics. They participate in baking a traditional desert in the historic kitchen. Then, the children meet a ‘soldier’ from the War of 1812, who takes them back in time to experience what a soldier’s life was like two hundred years ago. They also play an old-fashioned game and visit the 100-foot tall Battlefield Monument, weather permitting. Included in the package is a one hour rental of a reserved room where guests can have lunch, cake and open gifts.
