Dolls and Toys: An Exhibition of Arts and Crafts from India
This exhibition of arts and crafts from India will be on display at the Hamilton Children’s Museum until July 6, 2013. The artifacts exhibited are from the private collection of Dr. Monolina Bhattacharyya – Ray and it has been her passion to visit remote locations in her native Indian state of West Bengal and beyond to find artifacts that are locally conspicuous or on the path of extinction.
THE DOO WOP DINER
Put on your dancing shoes and groove to music from the jukebox; dress up like cooks, create your favourite diner dishes and serve them to family and friends in our 1950’s-style family diner. Explore themes in nutrition, physical activity and science.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
The Children’s Museum Theatre Space is back with a twist! Children and their adults can view themselves on T.V. while putting on their show. So get your act together, get dressed up in costumes and create your own stories. This exhibit encourages dramatic play and will address components of media literacy.
BRAIN TEASER
If you can imagine it, you can build it! Build with blocks and design mazes with tubes. Quality, hands-on activities sure to provide hours of fun for children and their adults.
