Hamilton Children's Museum Temporarily Closed for Repairs.
Update January 2015:
Ian Kerr-Wilson, Manager of Heritage Resource Management for the City of Hamilton's Tourism and Culture Division is pleased to announce that stabilization and structural repairs to the Hamilton Children's Museum commenced in January 2015. For more information and updates, contact Ian Kerr-Wilson or visit the Hamilton Culture Facebook page.
The Hamilton Children’s Museum was closed temporarily on July 22, 2013. During routine inspections, it was discovered that the building was structurally unsound.
Hamilton City Council has directed staff to repair the building so that we may open our doors again and we are very excited to get to work! Repairs are expected to begin in early fall of 2014. Watch this site for information about the repairs and for our re-opening date.
Council also directed staff to complete a long term development plan considering options to either expand the Museum in its current location or to develop a new larger facility within the park.
Please don’t forget to check out the Hamilton Children’s Museum Wednesday Wigglers listed below for upcoming dates and locations of events, exhibits and outreach programming.

Please note that during busy times, there may be a short, outdoor wait for admittance and visits may also be limited to one hour. You are more than welcome to call ahead and staff will suggest a less busy time to visit that day or week, or you can take the opportunity to visit Gage Park while you wait.
