Summer Camp Programs
- Camp Kidaca Preschool (ages 3-5)
This program is designed to introduce preschool campers to a full-day camp experience with a lower staff-to-camper ratio (8:1). Preschool campers will participate in age appropriate activities, with a focus on cooperative games, friendships, gross motor skill development, songs, circle time, stories and crafts. Camp Kidaca is the most popular of our day camp programs and is a great way to spend the summer holidays in a safe, supervised, and fun camp environment. - Camp Kidaca Support Program (Special Needs - ages 3-11)
A program where staff provide one-to-one support for campers with special needs to facilitate integration in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
- Teen Venture Summer Camp (ages 16-21)
Teen Venture is a summer recreation and socialization program for teens and young adults who have special needs or a disability. This program was specifically designed to provide continued camp care and supervised camp activities for teenagers who are too old for the youth programs. This camp will be delivered by dedicated program staff who supervise weekly activities and assist with age-appropriate games, trips, sports, hobbies, social activities and swimming.
Our Staff
Each of our camps is under the direction of a full-time Recreation Coordinator with countless years of recreation experience in both our recreation facilities as well as our summer camp and playlot programs.
Site supervisors are college and university students with a minimum of 3 years summer camp experience, a preferred background in recreation and a passion for working with children and youth. Camp ratio is one (1) staff to ten (10) participants. As well, all camp staff are trained in the High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development, Standard First Aid/CPR and are also trained to administer Epi-pens.
