Site Purpose
The purpose of this site is to provide an artistic interpretation
of the future valley changes planned for Red Hill Creek. Photographs
taken at locations frequently accessed by valley users were super-imposed
with computer generated visual simulations. The "Impact" images
portray future changes to key user areas adjacent to the Red Hill Valley
Project.
This site is designed to provide an effective means of conveying design
changes in a visual manner.
Visual Simulation Background Discussion.
Contents
The web site contains a series of maps of the project
area with 'hotpoints' to allow for online inspection of proposed viewpoints.
Navigation is accomplished through the iconic choices labelled Home
and Map in the top right corner of the screen. Home will always bring
you back to this screen.
Map will take you to a small scale representation of the entire Red
Hill Valley Project. On this map are marked the viewpoints for the visual
impact presentation. Clicking on any of the viewpoint markers will take
you a larger scale context page for that point. You can also click on
any of the
point names listed below the map to go to that point.
|
Once on a detail page you will be presented with a still
image of the view from that point as well as a larger scale map of where
that viewpoint is situated. By clicking on the smaller impact image
a larger full screen image
will open to provide greater detail and a closer level to actual viewing
experience. If there is a button labled "VR Panorama", clicking
will take you to view a 360° panorama from that vantage point. Instructions
for navigation are included on the page itself.
Disclaimer
These simulated images reflect conditions that are a result
of mitigation caused by grading. Additional landscaping planting will
be included during the detail design phase of the project.
