Hamilton Emergency Services - EMS welcomes the opportunity to participate in your community event and educate the public in the many facets of pre-hospital emergency medicine. Our experienced paramedics enjoy sharing their expertise and knowledge with others to potentially help save lives.

Upcoming Events: Want to Learn CPR?

Hamilton Paramedics are offering a free CPR awareness training session in conjunction with the Les Charter YMCA. In addition to the training session, this program provides each participating family with a CPR training kit. The participants get to keep the kit at the end of the session (one kit per household). These CPR kits contain a manikin and DVD disk so that the participant can review the material or show other family members CPR.

REGISTRATION: All participants must contact the Les Charter YMCA to register for the CPR awareness program. The first 60 registering households will get a Free CPR Family and Friends Kit. Registration is limited please call to ensure your participation. Please call the Les Charter YMCA at 905 667 1515 to register.

^{During the month of December of 2010 all 841 students at Delta High School were trained in CPR. This event marks the placement of 18 Public Access Defibrillators in schools across Hamilton. The Delta event was a great success in part due to the leadership provided by the Grade 12 Physical Education students who were trained as CPR Coaches. The CPR Coaches completed a day long training program in CPR and then were active instructors for the training of their fellow students.}
