Legislative Approvals

The Legislative Approvals group comments on all Planning Act applications with respect to compliance with Provincial legislation, plans, policies, guidelines and standards including the Places to Grow Plan, Greenbelt Plan, Provincial Policy Statement, Niagara Escarpment Plan, Parkway Belt West Plan and numerous provincial guidelines. This team provides a number of services including:

• Reviewing Planning applications with respect to conformity to Hamilton's Official Plan.
• Coordinating reviews and monitoring all planning matters related to plans of subdivisions, condominiums and part lot control for industrial commercial and residential developments.
• Assigning street names and municipal numbers to properties.
