Alcohol, Drugs and Gambling

Treatment Services

The City of Hamilton provides treatment services for people affected by alcohol, drug and gambling problems. Alcohol, Drug & Gambling Services (ADGS) provides help to people 23 years and older in our alcohol and drug program. We provide help to people 12 and older in our problem gambling program. Health Promotion Services

The City of Hamilton also works with individuals, groups and agencies in the community to develop programs and initiatives that not only aim to reduce the use and abuse of alcohol and drugs, but also work towards minimizing the harms associated with drug use. These programs support the community at large as well as schools, workplaces and health-care settings.
