City of Hamilton - Public Health Services
Anonymous HIV Testing
What can I expect when I go for anonymous HIV testing?
No appointment or health card needed.Testing is provided by a public health nurse who offers pre- and post-test counselling. You will need to return in person in 2 weeks for your results. You will be identified by a code number that will be given to you at your first visit. You will need to bring this with you when you return for your results.
Rapid HIV testing also known as Point of Care is now offered at our Dundas Sexual Health Clinic and at our Street Health-Wesley Centre. (see hours below) This test is done by finger prick.
