Street Health Centre, Wesley Centre - Sexual Health
Public health nurses at the Street Health Centre provide health care services on a drop in basis. No health card needed.
Services include:
- Needle exchange and harm reduction supplies (eg. alcohol swabs, sterile water, ascorbic acid, filters, cookers, sharps containers for safe disposal of used needles, safe injecting information)
- Anonymous and nominal HIV testing
- Rapid HIV Testing (also known as Point of Care) is now available at our Street Health- Wesley Centre. This test is done by a finger prick blood sample and your results are ready in just a few minutes. It will be offered every day that the Street Health Clinic is open. - Hepatitis A & B vaccine
- Tetanus vaccine
- Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Pregnancy urine testing and counselling
- Emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) also known as the Morning After Pill (may be given up to 5 days after unprotected sex)
- Free condoms
- Addictions counsellor on staff Tues evening and Fri afternoon
- Harm reduction worker; please call for hours
- Counselling and referrals as appropriate
