City of Hamilton - Public Health Services
The Van/Harm Reduction Program
The program's goal is to prevent blood borne infections such as HIV and hepatitis infections by helping clients avoid sharing needles and equipment. A mobile van delivers clean needles and harm reduction supplies such as alcohol swabs, sterile water, cookers, ascorbic acid and filters to persons who use injection drugs. Van staff offer confidential support, education and referrals to clients for services such as addictions, detox, health care and shelter.
Contact the Van by calling 905 317-9966 (no call display) Monday-Friday 8pm-midnight . The Van now accepts and responds to text messages. | The Van Needle Exchange Program | Address | Hours of Operation |
