Healthy Workplace- Eat Smart! Workplace Cafeteria Recipe Contest

The Eat Smart! Workplace Program Award of Excellence is a provincial program that recognizes workplace cafeterias for exceptional nutrition and food safety standards and a smoke free environment.

Local Eat Smart! Workplace Cafeteria chefs/cooks were challenged to enter their favourite recipe in a recipe contest! Each recipe was required to be an entrée prepared in a healthier way as defined by the Eat Smart! Workplace Cafeteria Nutrition Standard, include vegetables or fruit available in Ontario in August, September or October.  Here are the winners:

1st Place: Salmon Pinwheels with Julienne Harvest Vegetables

2nd Place: Salmon Baked Bruschetta and Quinoa Vegetable Stir Fry

3rd Place: Herb Chicken with Quinoa and Feta

Honourable Mention: Spinach Arugula Bali Grilled Chicken Salad
