City of Hamilton
2006-2010 Accomplishments Report is now available
Over the past four years, we have strived to achieve community prosperity and sustainable services. Our driving vision has been to make Hamilton the best place to raise a child, to promote innovation, to better engage citizens and to provide diverse economic opportunities. After reviewing this 2006-2010 Accomplishments Report , it is my hope you will agree that we have not only met this vision; we have exceeded it.
The report provides you with an overview of the milestones we have achieved using the 2006 – 2010 Corporate Strategic Plan and 2010/2011 Corporate Priorities Report as our guides. Great progress has been made during this Council term through many initiatives such as the development of the new MacNab Transit Terminal (featuring green and innovative elements) and the completion of the Red Hill Valley Project, which has improved transportation access and contributed to an increase in Hamilton's economic growth. In addition, Hamilton has taken on many environmental initiatives such as developing and implementing a Corporate Energy Policy designed to drastically reduce energy consumption in City-owned facilities and operations by 20% in 2020.
Hamilton is taking steps in the right direction and we are very pleased with each of our accomplishments over the past four years. There is always room for improvement and new ideas, which we look forward to seeing in Hamilton's future.
