Teddy bear's picnic at Whitehern a fun filled family day August 12 - 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

HAMILTON, ON –  August 4, 2005 –  If you go down to the woods today”…Children, along with their Teddy Bears, are invited to spend an afternoon in Whitehern’s Garden, on Friday, Aug. 12 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. This exciting afternoon is ideally suited for children between the ages of four to eight years old.

Children and their Teddy Bears will love this fun-filled afternoon. They will be engaged with a variety of activities including stories, songs, crafts, a bear safari and the all important Teddy Bear Parade. Yes, there will be prizes!

Admission to the picnic is free when you bring a Teddy Bear. No Teddy Bear? Purchase one at Whitehern for $2.00.

After the Picnic, the children and their caregivers are invited to take part in a special discovery tour of the Historic House. Discounted admission rates apply: $2.00 per person.

Whitehern Historic House and Garden is located at 41 Jackson Street West at MacNab, directly behind City Hall. The National Historic Site is owned and operated by the City of Hamilton.
