HAMILTON, ON – August 17, 2005 – In preparation of planned renovations to Hamilton’s City Hall, protective fencing will be installed around the building perimeter. Installation is expected to start later this week and will take approximately one week to complete. It is anticipated that fencing will remain in place for the duration of the renovations.
The front entrance will be maintained during normal working hours. The barrier free ramp at the front of City Hall will be closed this weekend, while the fencing is installed around this area. The ramp is expected to be accessible again on Monday morning; in the interim, barrier free access is maintained at the rear entrance via the west parking lot off of Bay Street.
Every effort will be made to complete the work in an expeditious manner and to keep any inconvenience to a minimum.
Safety is our first concern, for both the public and our workers. Signs will be posted. We thank you for your co-operation and support as we move forward with the City Hall renovation project. Further updates will be provided when details of each phase are finalized.
