HAMILTON, ON – August 18, 2005 – The City of Hamilton, as part of its ongoing commitment to upgrading infrastructure, will be improving municipal services on Rymal Road East from Upper Gage Avenue to Nebo Road. Construction is expected to start August 22, 2005 and will take approximately four months to complete. The contract has been awarded to North Rock Group.
During construction, vehicular access on Rymal Road East will have lane restrictions. Local and emergency access will be maintained during these closures. Signs will be posted as necessary. Safety is our first concern, for both the public and our workers.
The work is being undertaken to protect the long-term value of the City’s transportation and infrastructure assets and help enhance the quality of life for Hamiltonians. Rymal Road East will receive upgrades to the water distribution system. New watermains assist the City to maintain its high standards of water quality, increase water volume for both residents and the fire hydrants and support future growth.
Every effort will be made to complete the work in an expeditious manner and to keep any inconvenience to a minimum.
