HAMILTON, ON – August 26, 2005 - The City of Hamilton's Public Health and Community Services tests water samples from eight public beach locations across the city. When water tests show high amounts of potentially harmful bacteria at a particular beach, signs are installed (posted) in close proximity to the water, warning swimmers about the contaminated water.
For the most up-to-date information, the public should call the City of Hamilton's Health Protection Branch Safe Water Hotline at (905) 546-2189.
