City of Hamilton outdoor sports fields closed tonight

HAMILTON, ON –  July 27, 2005 – The City of Hamilton has cancelled all programming on its outdoor sports fields for tonight. Significant rainfall in the past 24 hours has resulted in poor field conditions.  The decision to cancel programming has been made in order to preserve the future quality of the fields and to reduce the risk of personal injury. 

City Staff will continue to monitor field conditions to determine when the fields will be playable and will contact the affected sport user groups.
