Learn about heritage beer brewing at Dundurn Castle

Hamilton, ON. – September 13, 2005 – Have you ever wanted to learn about how beer is made? If so, then you won’t want to miss Brewing in Ontario on Saturday, Oct 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Dundurn Castle. The cost is $40.00 per person and registration is required.

Led by Christopher Redford and Brian Lindsay of Dundurn National Historic Site, guests will have an opportunity to participate in a beer brewing workshop as well as enjoy lectures about the early history of beer and brewing. The day’s activities also include a Victorian lunch and heritage beer tasting at the licensed Coach House Restaurant.

Dundurn National Historic Site, which is located at 610 York Blvd in Dundurn Park, overlooks Burlington Bay and Lake Ontario, and includes Dundurn Castle, the Hamilton Military Museum, the Coach House Restaurant and the Gift shop.
