Beach Water Quality Update

HAMILTON, ON – July 21, 2006 - The City of Hamilton's Public Health Services  tests water samples from eight public beach locations across the city. When water tests show high amounts of potentially harmful bacteria at a particular beach, signs are installed (posted) in close proximity to the water, warning swimmers about the contaminated water.

For the most up-to-date information, the public should call the City of Hamilton's Health Protection Branch Safe Water Hotline at (905) 546-2189.
