HAMILTON , ON - May 20, 2006 – Public Works will be in a mall near you! In recognition of National Public Works Week, May 21 – 27, the Department has planned to attend various malls with displays to heighten awareness of programs that are available for the public, initiatives that will help the environment and services provided that bring our City to life. Learn while you shop!!

Visit one of Hamilton’s mall displays on Tuesday to learn more:

Lime Ridge Mall, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Transit
Learn the history of Hamilton’s Street Railway, from horses to hybrids. While shopping at Lime Ridge you can pick up transit guides, timetables and brochures at the display. Join us to view photos of the transition over the past decades.

Eastgate Square, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Waste Management 
Do you have questions about the new Green Cart Smart program? Then come out to view the display and find out more about this exciting program and what Hamilton’s Waste Management Division has to offer.

Jackson Square, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Operations & Maintenance 
Learn about Hamilton’s Street Tree Planting program, Keep Hamilton Blooming, Community Gardens and so much more that we are proud to offer you. Stop by and learn about the Trillium Awards and more….
