The Integrity Commissioner

Earl D. BasseEffective January 1, 2010, Council appointed Earl D. Basse, FCMA, CFE, CPP, as the Integrity Commissioner. Mr. Basse is a former Inspector with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and brings with him 25 years of law enforcement with a wide range of experience in investigations and natural justice. He also holds an Honours Degree in Commerce from the University of Manitoba, is a Fellow of the Society of Management Accountants of Canada and is the former Mayor for the District of Sechelt, BC.

The Integrity Commissioner performs his duties on a part-time, as needed basis, and does not have a permanent office in the City of Hamilton. He works from his Home Office in Waterloo Ontario.
