Public Information Centres
Public participation is an important part of the City’s process for developing future land use plans. Input from residents, land owners and other interested parties are important in determining these future plans.
Public Information Centre #2 Held December 5th, 2006
Planning staff have prepared three draft land use options for discussion purposes at the Public Information Centre. These options provide a range of low, medium and high density residential use for Trinity, based on the opportunities and constraints identified for the area.

Trinity Neighbourhood Collector Public Information Centre #1 Held October 18, 2006
This PIC was held primarily to address Roads issues, specifically the Trinity Neighbourhood Collector Road. This project was designed to develop a route for a collector road through Trinity, linking Gatestone Drive to Highland Road. At this PIC, Planning staff presented the following resources.

Next Steps in the Study Process:

A Preliminary Land Use Concept has been prepared incorporating the above- noted Planning Principles and Provincial Policy. (See display panels, accessed by means of links, below)

Three land use options are being prepared to provide Low, Medium and High Density versions of the land use plan, for evaluation purposes.

These options will be reviewed by staff of City staff and Departments in order to ensure that they are workable.

The land use options will be presented at a Public Information Centre, targeted for late November, 2006. Public input will be invited.

The date for this meeting is presently being set, and will be advertised by means of newspaper ads, mailing list and the web site.

A preferred land use plan will be prepared based on staff and public input, by early 2007.

The final plan will be forwarded to City Council for approval.
Public Information Centre #1 Held March 27, 2006 This initial meeting allowed for discussion of the study process, and an opportunity for local residents to provide input on the type of development which they would like to see for this area, in terms of type, density and design. Future public meetings will allow input into alternative options. This study is intended to be complete by the fall of 2006.
