Does the City of Hamilton subsidize Culture and Recreation programs?

The Youth Servicing Agency Network (YSAN) "Grow Program" funded through a grant from the City of Hamilton NCB Reinvestment Strategy, acts as a broker to provide culture and recreation programs for children ages 0-19 whose family's are Social Assistance Recipients (OW / ODSP).

This is also available to you if you are 19 or younger and on Social Assistance (OW / ODSP)

Please contact Brenda at 905-628-5458 to have your name added to the list of those requesting services and a coordinator through YSAN will meet with the family and help facilitate placement of children into programs.

If you are low income but not on social assistance, please go into the recreation centre of your choice and ask to speak with a supervisor about the subsidy program.

Please be aware that there may be a waiting list for service.
