  • What are ‘My Orders’ and ‘My Transactions’?

    A history of any orders (such as eStore products) or online transactions (such as online licensing) that you have made on hamilton.ca will automatically appear on your Personal Page so that you can keep track of the services you use on the portal.

    How do I 'Edit My Personal Profile'?  

    The ‘Edit my Personal Profile’ option can be found on the left-hand side of the Personal Page under ‘Profile Navigation’.

    Here you can change much of the information in your profile, including: your First Name, Last Name, Email, Address Information, Phone/Contact Information, Password, Security Question/Answer, Culture and Recreation Credentials, and Hamilton Public Library Credentials.

    Storing this information in your profile will allow you to make use the portal without being prompted to re-input such information later on!

    Be sure to save all changes by clicking ‘Update’ before you exit your Personal Profile! This will save any changes you have made.

    How do I ‘Edit Site Text Size’?

    This option will alter the size of the text you see on myhamilton, every time you log in.

    The ‘Edit Site Text Size’ option can be found on the left-hand side of the Personal Page, under ‘Profile Navigation.

    To change your text to a larger text size, click the ‘Larger Text Size’ option and be sure to save your changes.

    How can I personalize hamilton.ca for myself?

    In order to customize the content you see on myhamilton, you must first create a User Account.

    After creating a User Account and logging in, you can click on the My Personalize Personal Page link available at the top of every page on myhamilton.

    On your Personalize Page, a number of personalization options are available to you, including: changing your password, inputting your Library or Culture and Recreation barcodes/IDs, editing your News Sources, and creating a customized events listing. You can access your Personal Profile information under 'Profile navigation' on the left-hand side of your screen. 

    Be sure to save all changes you make to your Personal Profile by clicking 'Update!'

    How do I add links to my Personal Page?

    After creating a User Account and logging in, you can select the My Personal Page icon available at the top of every page on myhamilton.

    On your Personalize Page, you will see a 'My Links' section in the left-hand column. Clicking on the 'Edit Links' option allows you to add new links or remove unwanted links.

    To add a new link, simply type in a link title, along with the web address and click the 'Add' link. To remove an existing link you would simply reverse the process.

    What are Newsletter Subscriptions?

    You can subscribe to a variety of interesting email newsletters via your hamilton.ca Personal Page. 

    To view a list of these newsletters you can click the ‘Manage My Newsletter Subscriptions’ option found on your Personal Page.

    Simply put a check beside the newsletters that you would like to receive, and click ‘Update Subscriptions’ to save the changes.

    How do I add a ‘Saved Search’ to my Personal Page?

    You can save search results to your Personal Page by clicking the ‘Add to my Saved Searches’ link at the top right-hand side of the Search Results page.

    Simply title your search and click ‘Save’. It will now be listed on your Personal Page!
