OPIOID ALERT: Increased number of drug poisonings attributed to "Yellow Down" drug.

There have been local reports of an increase in drug poisonings and circulation of a highly potent or toxic fentanyl.

• Since July 3, 2023, the Office of the Chief Coroner has advised there has been 4 suspect drug-related deaths in the community.
• There has also been increased incidents of EMS calls and suspected overdose-related ED visits since June 25.
