Service Impacts due to COVID - What's Open/Closed
In-class prenatal classes remain closed. Free online prenatal classes are available to learn more about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and newborn care in an interactive way. Healthy Growth and Development Services
Healthy Growth and Development Program services that remain closed during the COVID-19 pandemic include parenting sessions (i.e., Parenting With Love, Triple P), in-class prenatal sessions, Car Seat Clinics, Check-it Out drop ins, and in-person Welcome Baby prenatal nutrition groups (Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program-CPNP).
Parents and guardians can use Looksee Checklists to see how their child is doing developmentally. Call your family doctor if you are concerned about your child’s development.

Health Connections phone line (905-546-3550) is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. We help expecting families and families that have children 0-6 years of age. You can learn and ask questions about: breastfeeding, child safety, growth and development, healthy eating, positive parenting, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, preparing for a healthy pregnancy and other programs and services in Hamilton.
Public Health Services’ breastfeeding support can be accessed by calling the Health Connections phone line at 905-546-3550.
Welcome Baby prenatal nutrition groups (Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program - CPNP) are accepting new participants who are pregnant and looking for extra support. Currently we are offering phone support and mailing resources while in-person groups are closed. Information and details on how to register
