STEAM Saturdays Kids Workshop – Mucus Mayhem and More!

STEAM Saturdays Kids Workshop – Mucus Mayhem and More!

We are excited to present the “STEAM Saturdays” kids workshop series for children between the ages of 7 and 12. Each month focuses on a different subject in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) This workshop is a staff-led and supervised event. Parents/Caregivers are welcome to stay but are not required to do so. Consent forms and emergency contact information will be required.

Just in time for Halloween, the museum is getting into the creepy crawly spirit with our STEAM Saturdays workshop, “Mucus Mayhem and More!” Featuring: The Scoop on Poop! with special guests, Flatus, Crusty, Stinky, Slimy, Scabby, & Phlegmy!

Leave your best clothes at home and join museum staff as we investigate the gross side of being human! We’re sure to get dirty as we meet characters like Dr. Vein Drain while creating realistic scabs and blood and learn about the dangers in working in a Victorian Pumphouse. Learn how, in 1854, the City of Hamilton suffered the worst ever city-wide ‘Yack-attack’ and what was done to prevent it from happening again. This workshop incorporates various hands-on and interactive activities with gross stuff to take home!

For ages 7 to 12 years old

Cost: $25.00 per person. Drop-off program. Pre-registration is required.
