Canada Day 2020 presented by RBC

The City of Hamilton invites you to take part in Canada Day 2020 presented by RBC. While we can't stage our traditional community gathering, we've planned family-friendly initiatives have to help connect Hamilton on Canada Day 2020. Join us at 7pm on CHCH for Canada Day presented by RBC, a one-hour broadcast special packed with talented local artists, entertainers and personalities. 

Show your spirit by participating in the citywide Canada Day Door Decorating Challenge! Keep your eye on the sky as the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum will be doing a Canada Day flyover (weather dependent). Don’t forget to use #HamOntCanadaDay on social media, to tag your Canada Day posts and photos, and to follow along with the City's Canada Day initiatives.

Join us for a special broadcast at 7pm on CHCH and online at CHCH.com. The broadcast, produced by Sonic Unyon Records, will showcase top Hamilton musical artists, featuring JUNO-winning rock band The Dirty Nil, incomparable soul artist John Ellison (writer of the hit “Some Kind of Wonderful”), international award-winning Hamilton Children’s Choir, the world-renowned Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Quintet, JUNO award-winning R&B/blues artist Harrison Kennedy, JUNO- and Polaris-nominated singer-songwriter Terra Lightfoot, empowering R&B singer Queen Cee, plus local icon and JUNO-winning roots songwriting legend  Tom Wilson.

Door Decorating Challenge

Show your Canadian spirit by decorating your front door on July 1! Be creative! Submit a photo of your Canadian-decorated door using #HamOntCanadaDay before 5pm on July 1.

Ten submissions will be randomly selected to receive an RBC prize pack.

Canadian Warplane Flyover

Historic aircraft from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum will fly over Hamilton on July 1, weather dependent.
