Provides residents/businesses an overview of the number of incidents Hamilton fire fighters are responding to in their wards.
Story behind the numbers
In 2017, Stations 1, 6 and 4 were the three busiest station response areas, accounting for 32% of all incidents responded to. In 2017, 85.6% of all incidents were located in a full time staffed station response area, 6.5% of incidents were located in a volunteer station response area and approximately 6.5% of all incidents were located in a composite station response area (full time and volunteer).
This data will help to identify opportunities for focusing fire safety education in neighbourhoods. The Hamilton Fire Department will continue to link and build community partnerships to share their fire safety messaging.

DATA NOTE: The Citizen Dashboard is in the process of being converted into an Open Data format, linking the Citizen Dashboard with Open Hamilton. During this conversion, the data on the Citizen Dashboard will not be updated quarterly, resulting in some data being out of date. The conversion is underway and is expected to be fully completed by June 2019.
