Story behind the numbers
In conjunction with total permits issued, this measure provides an indicator of the level of construction activity and building code enforcement within the City. A value of 60,000 inspections represents average annual amount of construction related activity.
The results assist in determining the appropriate level of field resources required to ensure the Building Division is able to provide the necessary inspection services. High volumes of issued building permits directly affect the quality of and ability to complete field inspections.
