The Hamilton Fire Department responds to incidents across the City from 26 fire stations strategically located throughout the municipality. At each incident, Hamilton fire fighters work to help protect lives, property and the environment.

Performance improvements


These numbers are generated by calls for assistance and continued fire prevention activities and public education can contribute to a reduction in some types of responses.

Life Threatening Medical: The Hamilton Fire Department are tiered and respond only to life threatening medical calls where early intervention may result in a positive outcome for the patient. Examples include: vital signs absent calls, cardiac arrest, chest pains, burns, shortness of breath and uncontrolled bleeds.
